The province of Agrigento is one of our favorite destinations for horseback riding.
To understand why, just join our adventure in Montallegro: accompanied by an equestrian guide, you’ll ride through the pine forest and beach of the Platani River Nature Reserve.
Astride your steed, you’ll reach the scenic Capo Bianco cliff, which rivals the more famous Scala dei Turchi!

During booking or directly on site, you will have the opportunity to choose the destination of your exciting horseback ride: Torre Salsa or Capo Bianco.
We will meet at the agreed time at the riding stables adjacent to the beach, in the seaside area of Bovo Marina di Montallegro (AG). Our environmental equestrian guide will welcome you at the stables!
Upon your arrival, you will meet and choose the horse for your wonderful adventure, which you can saddle or finish saddling. We will help you saddle up in English-American style and will provide you with some basic horsemanship to make the most of this experience.

CAPO BIANCO Route
Now it’s time for our horseback ride: we’ll venture into the natural setting around the riding stables, heading towards Eraclea Minoa. We’ll ride 100 meters along the Sicana coast, then enter the pine forest and approach the beach. We’ll reach the entrance to the Foce del Fiume Platani Nature Reserve, where the Capo Bianco cliff is located: it’s very similar to the more famous Scala dei Turchi, which you can see in the distance.
After riding about 6/7 km, we’ll return to the meeting point; here, an aperitif (included) awaits us, featuring typical local products accompanied by a glass of wine. The horseback ride will last about 2 hours; the total experience will last about 3 hours.
TORRE SALSA Route
We begin our horseback ride: we will venture into the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve, towards Siculiana Marina, we will ride 100 meters along the Sicanian coast and then enter a pine forest characterized by Mediterranean scrub, until we get close to the beach. We will ride until we reach the Dama Bianca cliff: this latter is very similar to the more famous Scala dei Turchi, which you can see in the distance.
After having traveled about 6/7 km, we will return to the meeting point; here an aperitif (included) will await you, based on typical local products accompanied by a glass of wine. The horseback ride will last about 2 hours; the total experience will last about 3 hours.

We will ride in the natural setting around the riding stables, venturing into the pine forest of the Foce del Fiume Platani Nature Reserve, reaching the entrance to the beach where we will see the Capo Bianco cliffs in the distance.
After riding about 4 km, we will return to the meeting point. The horseback ride will last about 1 hour; the total experience will last 1.5 hours.
TORRE SALSA Route
We will venture into the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve, entering a pine forest characterized by Mediterranean scrub. We will then reach a beach from which we can spot the Dama Bianca cliff in the distance, reminiscent of the more famous Scala dei Turchi!
After traveling about 4 km, we will return to the meeting point. The horseback ride will last about 1 hour; the total experience will last 1.5 hours.
The experience is suitable for children aged 3 and up.
During this approximately 1-hour activity, young riders will have the opportunity to experience a true first approach to the world of horses in a safe and welcoming environment.
Upon arrival, they will meet the horse or pony that will accompany them during the experience. Together with our instructors, they will be able to pet it, brush it, and participate in its preparation, learning the basics of caring for and respecting the animal.
Then the children will saddle up and take part in an introductory horseback riding lesson in the riding stables, during which they will learn the basics of communicating with the horse and moving safely. The experience will continue with a few laps on the track, always under the careful supervision of our qualified staff.
Parents will be able to watch the activity and immortalize the best moments with photos and videos, preserving a special memory of this unique experience.
The safety of children and the well-being of the horses are our priority: all activities are carried out under the guidance of expert staff and with horses accustomed to working with little ones.

The experience is suitable for ages 3 and up.
Children must be accompanied by an adult on the ride.
Upon arrival, the children will meet the pony, which they can saddle or finish saddling together with the guide. We will help them get into the saddle, either English or Western style, and we will provide them with some basic horsemanship to make the most of this experience.
They will have the opportunity to make their first contact with the pony, under the supervision of the guides. Depending on their preferences, they can be guided around our equestrian field, alone or with their parents.
Immortalize the joy! During the 20-minute ride, you can take splendid photos and videos that will remind you of this special moment forever.

The meeting point is at the selected time at the riding stables next to the beach, in the seaside area of Bovo Marina di Montallegro (AG). The environmental equestrian guide who will accompany us on this adventure will welcome us!
Once all participants and their horses have gathered, we will conclude their preparation by saddling them. After this initial introduction, we will saddle up and enjoy a carefree experience.
Join us for an unforgettable day of adventure and fun for those who love immersing themselves in natural landscapes with our horses. We will ride for at least 3.5 hours. We’ll venture into the natural setting around the riding stables, heading towards Eraclea Minoa. We’ll ride 100 meters along the Sicanian coast, reaching the entrance to the pine forest of the Foce del Fiuma Platani Nature Reserve, the golden beaches of Bovo Marina and Erlacea Minoa, and finally Capo Bianco, where we’ll enjoy the breathtaking view.
From Capo Bianco, we’ll head towards the Platani River. Here, a special moment awaits: a refreshing dip in the river with your horse. An experience that will bring us even closer to nature.
We’ll continue our journey through the archaeological site of Eraclea Minoa, riding among the remains of an ancient civilization. Depending on the weather, we’ll return either along the beach or through the pine forest, concluding this extraordinary journey. This excursion is not just a “horse experience”, but an opportunity to immerse yourself in nature and live a unique and unforgettable adventure.

- The experience is available from January to December.
- Horseback riding is also permitted in the summer.
- Free parking is available on site. The meeting point is not accessible by public transport.
- Guests may follow the ride on foot free of charge; other companions may remain at the stables.
- Dogs on a leash are allowed at the stables.
- If you have any allergies and/or food intolerances, please contact the guide using the contact details provided in the booking confirmation email to let them know.
- Recommended clothing: Long trousers & closed shoes.
- Submit a booking request. We will only pre-authorize your payment.
- Receive a response within 48 hours. If confirmed, you will be charged the cost of the activity.
