To understand why, just take part in our adventure in Montallegro: in the company of an equestrian guide, you will ride for 2 hours between pine forest and beach in the Riserva Naturale del Fiume Platani.
On your steed, you will reach the scenic cliff of Capo Bianco that has nothing to envy of the more famous Scala dei Turchi!
Olive groves, almond groves and Mediterranean scrub. Try to imagine the color and scent of this horseback ride in the province of Agrigento!
In the company of an equestrian guide, you will ride for 2 hours and you can choose either the route that goes from Bovo Marina towards the Dama Bianca crossing the pine forest, beach and the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve, until you reach the cliff of the Dama Bianca, which resembles the nearby Scala dei Turchi, or from Bovo Marina towards Capo Bianco crossing the pine forest, beach and the Foce del Fiume Platani Oriented Nature Reserve, until you reach Capo Bianco.

During the booking or directly on site, you will have the opportunity to choose the destination of your exciting horseback ride.
CAPO BIANCO
We will meet at the agreed time in the riding stable next to the beach, in the seaside area of Bovo Marina di Montallegro (AG). Our local equestrian guide will welcome you at the riding stable!
Upon your arrival, you will meet and choose the horse for your wonderful adventure, which you can saddle or finish saddling. We will help you get on the saddle with English-American riding and you will be given some basic notions of horse riding to make the most of this experience.
Now it’s time for our horseback ride: we will venture into the natural setting around the riding stable, in the direction of Eraclea Minoa. We will travel 100 meters of the Sicana coast and then enter the pine forest and get closer to the beach. We will thus reach the entrance to the Riserva Naturale Orientata Foce del Fiume Platani, where the Capo Bianco cliff is located: the latter is very similar to the more famous Scala dei Turchi, which you can spot in the distance.
After having made about 6/7 km, we will return to the meeting point; here an aperitif (included) will be waiting for us, based on typical local products accompanied by a glass of wine. The horseback ride will last about 2 hours; the total experience will last about 3 hours.
TORRE SALSA
I will wait for you at the selected time in the riding stable next to the beach, in the seaside area of Bovo Marina di Montallegro (AG). Your equestrian guide will be there to welcome you at the riding stable!
Upon your arrival, you will meet and choose the horse for your wonderful adventure, which you can saddle or finish saddling. We will help you get on the saddle with English-American riding and you will be given some basic notions of horse riding to make the most of this experience.
It will be then that our horseback ride will begin: we will venture into the Torre Salsa Oriented Nature Reserve, in the direction of Siculiana Marina, we will travel 100 meters of the Sicana coast and then we will enter a pine forest characterized by Mediterranean scrub, until we get close to the beach. We will ride, until we reach the cliff of the Dama Bianca: the latter is very similar to the more famous Scala dei Turchi, which you can spot in the distance.
After having made about 6/7 km, we will return to the meeting point; here an aperitif (included) will be waiting for you, based on typical local products accompanied by a glass of wine. The horseback ride will last about 2 hours; the total experience will last about 3 hours.

And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will ride in the natural setting around the riding stable, venturing into the pine forest of the Foce del Fiume Platani Oriented Nature Reserve, thus reaching the entrance to the beach where we will see the Capo Bianco cliff in the distance.
After having ride about 4 km, we will return to the meeting point. The horseback ride will last about 1 hour; the total experience will last 1 hour and a half.
TORRE SALSA
The meeting is at the established time at the riding stable next to the beach, in the seaside area of Bovo Marina di Montallegro (AG). The local equestrian guide welcomes you for your adventure!
Once all the participants and their horses have gathered, we will conclude their preparation with the saddling. After this first approach, we will get on the saddle and you will be given some basic notions of horse riding to make the most of this experience.
And here we are ready for our horseback ride: we will venture into the Riserva Naturale Orientata Torre Salsa, entering a pine forest characterized by Mediterranean scrub. We will thus reach a beach from which we will be able to spot the Dama Bianca cliff in the distance, which resembles the more famous Scala dei Turchi!
After having made about 4 km, we will return to the meeting point. The horseback ride will last about 1 hour; the experience will last 1 hour and a half in total.

Upon your arrival, the children will meet the pony that they can saddle or finish saddling together with the guide. We will help them get into the saddle with English or American riding and we will provide them with some basic horse riding knowledge to make the most of this experience.
They will have the opportunity to make their first contact with the Pony, under the supervision of the guide and depending on their preferences, they can be guided on our equestrian field, alone or in the company of their parents.

We will venture into the natural setting around the riding stable, in the direction of Eraclea Minoa, we will ride 100 meters of the Sican coast reaching the entrance to the pine forest of the Foce del Fiuma Platani Oriented Nature Reserve, the golden beach of Bovo Marina and Erlacea Minoa to reach Capo Bianco where we will enjoy the breathtaking view.
From Capo Bianco we will head towards the Platani river. Here a special moment awaits us: for those who want to take a refreshing bath in the river together with their horse. An experience that will make you feel even closer to nature.
We will continue our journey through the archaeological area of Eraclea Minoa, riding among the remains of an ancient civilization. Depending on the weather, we will return either along the beach or through the pine forest, to conclude this extraordinary journey. This excursion is not just a “horse expirience”, but an opportunity to immerse yourself in nature and live a unique and unforgettable adventure.

- The experience is available from January to December.
- Horseback riding is also permitted in summer.
- There is free parking on site. The meeting point cannot be reached by public transport.
- Any companions can follow the walk on foot for free; other companions can remain at the riding stables.
- Dogs on a leash are allowed at the riding stables.
- If you have allergies and/or food intolerances, contact the guide at the contact details indicated in the booking confirmation email to communicate them.
